Decentralized wastewater treatment project

With the aim of obtaining treated water suitable for irrigation, protecting the environment and reducing pollution caused by sewage, in addition to supporting the BNFs and organizing their work to obtain the requirements of agricultural production and sufficient and safe irrigation water, #Amal for Relief and Development announces the start of implementing its new project "Decentralized wastewater treatment in the town of #Batbu in Idlib Governorate.

Project duration 4.5 months

The project aims to

Obtaining treated water suitable for irrigation according to the Syrian standard specifications.

Enhancing public health measures and limiting the spread of diseases resulting from the use of crops irrigated with untreated sewage water.

Supporting the BNFs and organizing their work to obtain the requirements of agricultural production and sufficient and safe irrigation water.

Protecting the environment by reducing pollution from sewage.

The main activities of the project

Implementation of a facility for entering raw sewage into the reactor.

Implementation of an anaerobic wastewater treatment reactor.

Implementation of a tank for collecting treated water coming out of the reactor.

Implementation of a line to use treated water for irrigation purposes and to deliver it to places close to farmers.
