Main tasks and responsibilities

  1. Provide direct psychosocial support services in accordance with humanitarian principles and protection standards.
  2. Conduct psychosocial awareness sessions for target groups on topics such as stress, trauma, violence, life skills, and more.
  3. Deliver individual or group support sessions appropriate to the needs of the beneficiaries, using suitable tools and techniques.
  4. Identify and assess psychosocial cases and prepare initial evaluation reports for cases requiring
  5. Carry out internal and external referrals in coordination with relevant mental health or protection
  6. Update databases, daily and weekly reports, and accurately document activities and cases with
  7. Participate in capacity-building activities and trainings related to psychosocial
  8. Contribute to identifying psychosocial needs in the target community and submit recommendations to the direct supervisor.

Required Academic Qualifications

  1. University degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related
  2. Minimum of two years of experience in psychosocial support, preferably in a humanitarian

Other required experience

  1. Experience in referral pathways and service
  2. Familiarity with protection
  3. Ability to conduct both individual and group support
  4. Experience working with diverse populations and in sensitive
  5. Ability to handle difficult cases with sensitivity and
  6. Knowledge of mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) principles in humanitarian
