Amal Urgent Relief Organization announces the launch of its project (distributing shelter aid and cooperative assistance vouchers to families even from the northwest of Syria), fully funded by the King Salman Center for Humanitarian Relief

The summery of project

The project aims to support vulnerable families affected by the earthquake in northwestern Syria by distributing in-kind assistance and life-saving purchasing vouchers.

The project is divided into providing two types of aid

1. Shelter assistance

The in-kind distribution of shelter materials and non-food items targets more than 63,000 families, where in-kind materials will be distributed provided by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, which contain different types in proportion to the needs of the families affected by the earthquake and the most vulnerable.

2. Winter aid

Distribution of purchasing vouchers for non-food items (winter clothing) to the most vulnerable groups of women, girls, boys and men, targeting more than 38,000 individuals.

- The project targets the five areas most affected by the earthquake in both Idlib and Aleppo governorates.

- The project targets displaced people and residents alike, who suffer from a lack of shelter and other necessities of life and are classified as the most marginalized and vulnerable groups in society, and who were severely affected by the earthquake of February 6, 2023, where their needs for shelter and non-food aid will be met.

- The project will ensure filling the gaps in the shelter needs of all displaced people and the host community for the most vulnerable groups affected by the earthquake of February 6, 2023.
